How to give yourself a Caviar Manicure

The newest look is achieved using textured micro beads, creating the impression of having your nails dipped in caviar.

Here's how:

1. Have your supplies ready.

You will need a base coat, an opaque white nail polish (no shimmer), micro beads with the colour of your choice, and a top coat. You should consider matching the colour of the nail varnish to the micro beads to enhance the caviar look.

2. Prepare your nails.
Buff and shape your nails. Use nail varnish remover to ensure the nail bed is completely free of any oils or residue.

3. You need to move fast after applying the base coat. Add the base coat and colour polish before introducing the beads.

Apply a thin coat of base polish to prepare your nails. Add one coat of opaque white nail polish. Just a thin application. Give the base and first coat time to dry then apply the layer of colour polish.

4. Add the caviar texture to your nails.

Have the micro beads ready for application. Pour the beads into a small cup or a wide cap from a bottle and keep them close by ready for application. Apply a second coat of the colour polish. Liberally douse your nails with your chosen micro beads. Place your hand over a plate or tissue and sprinkle the beads over until they are completely covered. Use the residual beads that fall off the nails for your second hand. Carefully press down on each nail to ensure the caviar beads stick to the nail polish. Make sure you use a clean dry finger pad when doing this. Avoid picking beads back up on your finger or smudging the beads across your nail.

5. Seal the caviar beads into place.

Although the beads should be fully set into the nail, applying a top coat will seal your polish and extend its life! Allow the beads to dry and wait until the polish has completely set.

6. Finished
